The short answer : there remain significant delays in delivery via the USPS and processing via the IRS. Customers should plan accordingly!
Many of you may be sending mail to the IRS and rightfully concerned that these important documents arrive on time. The USPS offers some tips regarding Mail to the IRS.
We recommend using Certified Mail and taking an image of the USPS tracking page when the IRS accepts the document. You can use this to retain Proof of Mailing.
